EMERSON
"Today is such a bad day. She died alone, and I didn't even do anything to save her. I always told her not to drink, but today I feel her pain, the pain of losing someone special. After coming back from my thoughts, I heard the pouring rain, which is tapping a little. I don't even have an umbrella, so I decided to go to the nearby restaurant. I head my way towards it. I open the door; the restaurant isn't busy. Some tables are occupied, so I take a chair to sit.
The waiter came to me, 'Ma'am, what's your order?' 'Well, I don't feel like I'm able to eat something. Bring the shot,' I replied. 'One?' he asked. 'Yes,' I replied. 'Anything else, ma'am?' he asked. 'No, just a shot.'
After drinking it, I realized the old taste because it's been so long since I ever drank. So yeah, I saw the rain stopped, so I went out to walk. In pain, I feel drowsy due to the shot I drank. There was a club nearby, so I headed there.
My heart is heavy with all my memories of Jules. When I entered the club, I was amazed to see it crowded. Many men and women were chattering and dancing. So I headed for a counter, 'One shot, please.'Suddenly, I turned and bumped my head into someone with similar blue eyes and curly hair moving over his forehead. 'Hi, Emerson,' he said. I was amazed to hear that he remembers my name. 'Hello,' I replied. 'What are you doing here?' he asked. 'What if I ask you the same question?' 'Well, I'm talking about you in Germany, not in the club,' he said with annoyance. 'Well, long story, but this time I need to relax, which of course I'm not, but I'm probably very drowsy after taking two shots. After that, I didn't remember what happened. I woke up on a bed, which was totally unfamiliar. All I did was lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling, but that was totally an understood thing that I'm not in the hotel I booked.
I look at the side table; there was a picture of a boy I met before holding a dog. 'Oh, Evan, now I know. Maybe I'm in Evan's house.' I getup from the bed quickly, but my head moves swiftly, and I felt drowsy just because of the shot I drank last night. It was drinking after many years, so I was also unfamiliar with the house and didn't know where to go. I just started out from the bedroom down the stairs. I glance at Evan cooking something in the kitchen. He saw me and said, 'Hi,Emerson.' 'Hello,' I replied. 'Well, you know you were drunk last night and fainted, so I brought you to my house," he said. Then he got busy making breakfast. I looked at him hopelessly, admiring how beautiful he looked while preparing breakfast. "What are you making?" I asked."Pancakes," he replied. He started preparing chocolate sauce for our pancakes, and I completely lost myself at the sight of his broad biceps, blond hair, and deep blue eyes. Suddenly, a strange electricity buzzed through my body. He came closer to pick up his phone lying on the kitchen counter. The fragrance of his sweet cologne and his deep blue eyes were messing with my mind. I had never seen Evan like this before, but I had to remind myself that Evan and I are just friends.
"What did I say? Friends. No, we're not even friends, and nothing could happen between us. I don't even want it to. But I don't know why he feels like home; maybe because he saved me that day. Why does he feel like sunshine on a rainy day?"
