Xiang Beihan placed twenty-fifth in the demon hunting team selection, an above average result, though not particularly outstanding. Among his peers in the demon hunting team, he wasn't ranked among the top either. But by virtue of his Knight status, he became the leader of the demon hunting team. Despite the fact that his power ranked at the 5th Rank, he was one of few Guardians that almost entirely stressed defense. There was another name for this type of knight - the Kite-Shield Knight.
Xiang Beihan's mount was notably unique, a ridge turtle. This was a magical beast with an extraordinary growth potential. It had almost no attacking power but its defensive power was unrivaled amongst magical beasts. Given its long lifespan, the turtle's defensive strength seemed almost limitless. It was said that as long as it survived, its shell's defensive power would continue to grow.
