Hep's Ribs Shop.
"Kongkong, come here for a moment," Father Hep calls out from the kitchen to summon Long Kongkong.
Having just finished a busy day, Long Kongkong had recently helped Hep Benn tidy up the front of the shop.
Walking into the back kitchen, Long Kongkong cheerily asks, "Boss, what's up?"
Father Hep smiles and says, "You did well today, I think your probationary period is over. You're better than I expected. I've decided to raise your wage to 60 copper coins a day. Here's your wage for today." As he speaks, he extends a small cloth bag to Long Kongkong.
Indeed, since Long Kongkong had arrived, whether in the back or front of house, things had been a lot easier. Long Kongkong was busy bouncing between the two, always smiling broadly. He was also handsome, which pleased the eye and the spirits of both Father Hep and his daughter. They had made quite a bit of money that day too, which elevated Father Hep's mood.
