Knights Temple, Soaring Dragon Branch Temple.
The two brothers who looked identical with handsome faces were climbing the steps together.
Long Kongkong wore a serious face, saying nothing, quite unlike his usual self. Long Dangdang was walking alongside him, also not taking the initiative to speak.
Seeing that the majestic grand door of the Knights Temple was already there, Long Dangdang stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Long Kongkong.
Long Kongkong coldly said, "What are you looking at?"
He was truly angry, yes, extremely angry. He felt that he was being targeted by his entire family. Despite having talents far below that of others, he was perfectly fine with just lazing about. Why then were they all forcing him to train hard? This weekend was absolutely dreadful, much worse than simply being tormented by Long Dangdang alone at the college at night. At least, he only tormented him for two hours. But being at home these two days, he was being constantly pushed around from morning till night! It was utterly exhausting! To make matters worse, his annoying priest of a father would cast a healing technique on him whenever he was utterly fatigued. What in heaven's name was that about?
Just as he was about to play dead on the ground, he saw his beautiful mother's face. It was impossible to resist the combined onslaught of his parents! What were his summoner mother's motives for summoning a hyena to chase him? Why was his family so cruel?
"What do you think the Temple would do to dad if our real identity is revealed? Why does dad, at the risk of severe punishment, insist on sending you to college? He could have just let you continue in your wasteful ways," Long Dangdang said.
Long Kongkong's mouth twitched, "Moral kidnapping, you guys are morally kidnapping me, you know?"
Long Dangdang shrugged and said, "Suit yourself! Then you can tell the Knights Temple later that your talent is fake. Alas, if dad's taken away, I'll have to be the one to shoulder the responsibility for our family with mom crying every day."
Having said that, he walked straight into the Knights Temple.
"I …" stomping his feet, Long Kongkong roared, "Long Dangdang, you wait for me!"
After explaining their intentions at the entrance, a guardian led them inside the Temple.
Long Dangdang was familiar with this place as he had undergone his innate inner spiritual power test here, but it was Long Kongkong's first visit.
Upon entering the main hall of the Knights Temple, his anger was quickly replaced with curiosity. There were six giant throne statues inside the Knights Temple.
God's Seal Cathedra Rex! This symbolized the Knights Temple. Any God's Seal knight from any generation was the equivalent of a federation leader. They were the pillars that once withstood the attacking demon tribe. These six divine seals were the essence of the Knights Temple's reputation as the Number One Temple for thousands of years.
The guardian took them to the main hall and asked them to wait here before he went back to his duty.
Having visited the Magic Temple, Long Kongkong found the Knights Temple less peculiar and full of solemnity and dignity. Subconsciously, he walked to Long Dangdang's side and stood shoulder to shoulder with his brother, as if to resist the anxiety in his heart.
"Who's Long Kongkong?" At that moment, a lazy voice rang out.
Both brothers turned their heads towards the direction of the voice, only to see a man walking out from the back of the main hall of the Knights Temple.
The man, who appeared to be in his forties or fifties, had some white hair at his temples. He had a rough beard and similarly unkempt hair, which apparently hadn't been washed for some time. His Knights Temple uniform was worn-out and stained with grease at the sleeves. He was biting into a steamed bun while shuffling his way towards them.
At the sight of his gait, Long Kongkong felt an immediate sense of connection. When he was in the junior college, he often strolled around the college grounds in the same manner, bringing laughter to the girls.
Instantly, he broke into the same stride towards the Sloppy Knight, "I'm Long Kongkong!"
The Sloppy Knight found this amusing and stopped in his tracks, "You cheeky rascal, you've got guts to mimic me!"
Long Kongkong tilted his head and said, "We're all street loafers and knights, there's no need to distinguish between age."
The Sloppy Knight's eyes lit up, "Good, good. I like your spirit. Here, sign this." As he spoke, a dirty scroll and a pen floated towards Long Kongkong.
Long Kongkong took the scroll and pen, asking puzzledly, "What's this?"
The Sloppy Knight came in front of him, "A contract, an apprentice contract. Sign this, and you will be the lifelong disciple of Na Ye, the great knight. Isn't that exciting and honourable?"
Long Kongkong rolled his eyes, tossed the scroll back at him, "Not signing. I might be a street loafer who lazes about, but I'm still a boy who likes cleanliness. You want to trick me into becoming your disciple? No way."
The Sloppy Knight shouted in anger, "Nonsense, when did I stop being clean? I just can't be bothered. Do you know how many people want to be my disciples? This is the greatest honour of your life!"
Long Kongkong snorted, "Old man, go back to sleep. You can have whatever you want in your dreams." Then he turned to walk towards Long Dangdang.
"What did you call me? How am I old?" The Sloppy Knight seemed like trespassed cat, jumping in shock and blocking Long Kongkong's path.
