As soon as the servants who brought food entered his room, they were immediately rebuked and driven out. For three whole days, Emperor Maximo appeared as if he had lost his soul. No one knew what he was doing in his room, or what he was thinking about.
Just when the ministers of Landias were gnawed by worry, Maximo finally left his room, and immediately summoned his ministers for a meeting in the hall.
