Chapter 56 - Chapter 14: The Agreed Battle (Part 4)_1

Roland and the awakened Wind attribute competitor departed sadly, at that moment, she even dared not look at Ye Yinzhu's clear eyes.

Standing there, Ye Yinzhu's gaze found the stunned Xiang Luan among the cheerleaders, a trace of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, as if saying to her, I won, the Divine Music Department won.

"Yin Zhu." Xueling was the first to run up, followed by Lanxi, Peacock, and Haiyang. At this point, Haiyang's black hair had fallen back down, covering half of her withered face, her complexion was awful, pale without a hint of color.

Ye Yinzhu looked at the four girls, "We won, I said I would block all attacks for you, and I did. Wa—" A mouthful of fresh blood sprayed out, and Ye Yinzhu's body fell toward Haiyang.

Startled, Haiyang subconsciously caught Ye Yinzhu's body, the faint scent of blood and the distinct smell of a man hit her nostrils, bringing a sudden blush to her originally pale face, leaving her somewhat at a loss, unsure of what to do.

In a daze, Ye Yinzhu seemed to see everything inside of him, his meridians, blood, and internal organs all appeared before his eyes.

Eh, why can I see these? His heart was full of confusion. Just then, the blood transformed, the normally bright red turning inexplicably to a pale purple. Soon, the purple blood rendered everything he could see the same color.

A tingling sensation spread throughout his body, as if itching down to the bones, he wanted to scratch, but couldn't do anything. The tingling grew stronger and stronger, waves of heat surged within him, and the itch was more tormenting than pain, unbearable. He was itchy all over, and that intense agony made him struggle desperately inwardly, but, tragically, it was all beyond his control.

He didn't know how much time had passed when, just as Ye Yinzhu felt he was about to collapse, the heat became a torrent, engulfing all the tingling. The rolling heat that seemed to boil his body in magma, but this burning sensation, was much better than the previous itching.

Finally, the heat gradually receded, and Ye Yinzhu's consciousness began to blur again, sinking deep into the darkness amidst a pervasive sense of relief.

A cool moisture caressed his face, indescribably comfortable. With a low moan, Ye Yinzhu slowly opened his eyes.

"Praise Falan! Yin Zhu, you're finally awake," exclaimed Sura's excited voice, her thick concern warming Ye Yinzhu's heart.

The blurriness before his eyes gradually cleared, his senses returned one by one, and Ye Yinzhu realized he was resting on a thigh—an elastic thigh with a light virgin fragrance, cool and stimulating his taste. Comfortable, so comfortable, it was the best pillow he had ever had in his life. At the same time, he noticed that he seemed to be holding onto something soft and bouncy.

"Haiyang, why are you here? You, how come you're here?" Ye Yinzhu, now awake, looked dumbfounded at everything in front of him. He found himself in a highly ambiguous position, his head resting on Haiyang's thigh, his arms tightly wrapped around her waist, his face mostly against Haiyang's abdomen, that charming cool fragrance was coming from Haiyang.

Almost immediately letting go with his hands, Ye Yinzhu abruptly sat up; he found his arms and body somewhat stiff, obviously having maintained that position for quite some time. His heartbeat sped up instantaneously, even faster than when he saw Xiang Luan.

With his black hair half-covering his face and his head lowered, it was impossible to see Haiyang's expression, but the half of her pretty face that was visible had turned a bright red color.

Sura stood to one side, holding a towel in her hand—the cool sensation on Ye Yinzhu's face had clearly come from this towel. He looked at Ye Yinzhu with a smirk and said, "You're asking her, yet it was you who fainted on the training ground and fell right on to Haiyang, hugging her tightly and refusing to let go. There was no helping it, so Haiyang had to bring you back with her. We thought just putting you on the bed would be enough, but who knew you'd cling even tighter, just changing the spot. You really took her for your pillow. That's because Haiyang is softhearted; if it were me, hmph..."

"Th-This…" Ye Yinzhu was at a loss for words; his face was even redder than Haiyang's as he kept his head down, not daring to look at the half-beautiful, half-ugly icy girl beside him.

The blush on Haiyang's face slowly dissipated, and the coldness returned, making her pale, pretty face seem heart-wrenchingly painful. "Are you alright now?" she asked.

Only then did Ye Yinzhu remember that he had been severely injured due to his battle with the Green Dragon, Fatty. The Wind Blade Breath of the Green Dragon was not so easy to block; in the heat of the moment, Ye Yinzhu relied on his Douqi and a special weapon to neutralize the Wind Blade, but he still suffered a major impact. Afterwards, during Fatty's struggles, he collided with the Realm and incurred a second grievous wound, which caused him to spew blood and pass out.

He moved his body slightly and was surprised to find that not only was there no pain in his body, but even his Magic Power and Douqi had recovered to about seventy or eighty percent. Further, his whole body felt as if it were filled with energy, ready to burst forth. The only discomfort was the sticky feeling on his skin, likely from sweating profusely which was somewhat uncomfortable.

"I'm fine now. How did I recover so quickly? Did you guys heal me after I passed out?"

Sura said, "No. After we brought you back, you were alternately hot and cold, trembling continuously. I tried to input Douqi into your body to heal you but was repelled by a rebound force. Later, you kept sweating, and it seemed like there was a purple stream of air constantly trembling around you. You calmed down after an hour of struggle and fell asleep hugging Haiyang. It's now night time. You seemed to have been hurt quite badly; are you really all right now?"

Before Ye Yinzhu could speak, Haiyang had already stood up. Indeed, there was a large patch of sweat stain on her pristine white dress, clearly left by Ye Yinzhu. "Since you're fine now, I'll leave. If you haven't recovered, don't compete tomorrow," she said, and then turned to walk out. In that instant, Ye Yinzhu clearly saw the half-ugly side of her face that her black hair could not hide.

"Haiyang," Ye Yinzhu called out.

Haiyang paused for a moment in her steps.

"Thank you."

She shook her head slightly without saying much more and departed gracefully. Watching Haiyang's retreating figure, Ye Yinzhu already had a plan in mind. He could see that the main reason for Haiyang being enveloped in coldness was her face, which was clearly the result of a postnatal cause.

"Stop staring, she's gone. Yin Zhu, you've got to tell me, what weapon were you using during the match today? I don't think I've ever seen it before," Sura asked curiously.

"That? That was…" Ye Yinzhu raised his right hand…
