Chapter 8 - Chapter 3 Sky Scar's Spatial Special Ability (Middle)_1

I will upload two chapters today and possibly one more tonight. My previous novel "Sole Immortal" has concluded. If you have VIP tickets, feel free to put them to use there. Heh, and remember to add this book to your collection.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Stubborn defiance stirred in Sky Scar's heart, prompting him to sit up and unplug the few tubes connected to his body. A faint light flickered in his eyes. The events of this day had been more abundant than the experiences of the past few years. He remained calm and didn't impulsively leave. Instead, he sat cross-legged and began cultivating according to the Cosmic Energy method. Only by maintaining the best physical condition could he handle any situation. Even if he couldn't resist, he would still be able to fly.

From the book he obtained earlier, Cosmic Energy cultivation was divided into three parts, each with different stages. The book he got only recorded the cultivation methods of all stages from the first part. After coming to the Academy of Zhongting, he had cross-checked these methods with those in the academy library. Here, only the cultivation stages of the first part were taught.

Following the operation of the final stage in the first part of the Cosmic Energy cultivation, in an instant, Sky Scar's state of mind reached a peaceful balance. His spirit completely opened up, sensing the mysteries between the universe and the heavens. Every pore on his body flung open, absorbing this mysterious power from the heavens and the earth. Warm and gentle currents flowed along his meridians, continually releasing and contracting. Each contraction made Sky Scar feel a rapid restoration of his body functions.

Without any warning, a fresh stream appeared in his mind out of nowhere. Its refreshing feeling instantly integrated into his Cosmic Energy cultivation. As he sensed the aura around him, Sky Scar noticed that this stream seemed to expand and contract in rhythm with his Cosmic Energy, steadily growing. With the addition of the clear stream, he could feel everything surrounding him more clearly. His Cosmic Energy cultivation increased in speed, much faster than usual. He even sensed a warm current creeping in through his pores, expelling impurities after fusing with his inner energy. His consciousness gradually merged with this wonderful process, and unknowingly, he lost consciousness.

When Sky Scar regained consciousness, his body felt different. The Cosmic Energy held within was more condensed than before, and the clear spring had disappeared. His body was in an unusually good state, every meridian seemed to have been stretched out. He heard a low breath and instantly pulled his thought back, opening his eyes.

His gaze instinctively drifted to the source of the sound. Sky Scar saw a handsome middle-aged man sitting by the bed, staring at him. Upon seeing Sky Scar open his eyes, he smiled subtly, "I thought you were in serious trouble. But you seem better than ever."

Seeing this man, Sky Scar jumped off the bed and respectfully said, "Teacher Damon, I apologize for worrying you."

Damon was the one who had brought Sky Scar into the Academy of Zhongting. He discovered Sky Scar, who was using his flying skill, in the remote area where Sky Scar came from. Surprise marked his face as he asked Sky Scar how he learned this cultivation method. Sky Scar told the truth. After persuading Sky Scar's parents, he immediately brought Sky Scar to study at the Academy of Zhongting. In his words, Sky Scar had exceptional aptitude and talent, which would be wasted if he stayed in that barren and remote place. He impressed Sky Scar with just a sentence that made him leave the slum he had lived in for over a decade despite his parents' objections. Damon told him, "If you want your parents to lead a comfortable life, follow me."

For five years, all of Sky Scar's expenses at the Academy of Zhongting were covered by Damon. After his parents, Damon was the person Sky Scar felt the most gratitude and respect towards.

With a smile, Damon looked at his proud disciple and said, "I've heard the Academy has allowed you to graduate and awarded you a thousand Cosmic Coins."

Sky Scar nodded, handing over his ID card, "Teacher, I'd like to return these thousand Cosmic Coins first, and when I get a job, continue to repay the rest of the tuition fees." While he loved money, his feelings for Damon had long surpassed his love for wealth. Without Damon, he would still be in the slums. Without Damon, he wouldn't be who he is now.

Damon shook his head, "I won't be accepting it, as you know, I don't need this."

Sky Scar knew Damon belonged to an aristocratic family. His family factory manufactured a significant number of flying cars for Planet Zhongting and more than twenty other adjacent planets. Although his wealth couldn't compare to the Thunderbolt Corporation, he was well-recognized throughout the Galaxy Union.

Determination showed on Sky Scar's face as he insisted, "Teacher, you must accept this. Even though I know money can't repay the favor, this is all I can do for now."

Gently pushing away Sky Scar's hand, Damon said, "Let's not talk about this now. If you want to repay me, wait until you have the full amount. Earlier, I sensed something happened to you. Can you elaborate?"

Sky Scar nodded, the person he trusted the most here was Damon, he laughed and said, "If you don't want it, I'll keep it for now. My mom would be so happy if I gave her this money when I returned home." His eyes dimmed as he continued, "You know about Liana and me, don't you, teacher? Yesterday…" He then recounted what happened to him throughout the day to Damon, not holding back anything, even about William's death.

Upon listening to Sky Scar's narration, Damon suddenly stood up, his breath short. He stared at Sky Scar, urgently asking, "Have you talked about this with anyone else?"

Sky Scar shook his head.

Damon sighed in relief, "That's best. Promise me, don't mention this to anyone ever again. At the same time, you must hide your spatial control ability well. You must never reveal it unless you have no other choice. Otherwise, if something similar happens again, it will bring big trouble to you."

Sky Scar asked in confusion, "Teacher, did I really kill William? What's this power of space all about?"

Damon gave a bitter smile, "I didn't expect you to have such a talent. There are things that it's better for you not to know. Trust me, I won't harm you. As for William, don't think too much about it. If anyone asks, deny it immediately. Ah, Liana is too capricious, you're so nice to her, yet she…"

Sky Scar's body jerked, Liana was so beautiful, yet she was so ruthless. Liana was the daughter of Damon's sister, their acquaintance was through Damon. Seeing his teacher's displeasure, Sky Scar lowered his head and said, "Teacher, it's my fault. I'm just going to blame myself for being useless, it has nothing to do with Liana."

Damon looked deeply at Sky Scar, gave a light sigh, and said, "Alright, let's not talk about it. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Your Cosmic Energy cultivation has progressed faster than I thought, did you know that? There are no more than a hundred people on our Thunder Star who have completed the first part of the cultivation. It's a shame that I don't have the methods for the second and third parts, as that's the secret of the Alliance. Otherwise, if you could cultivate the second part, not only would your flying skills improve, you might even…" He suddenly paused, as if deliberating, then continued, "You should stay in the academy for now, I'll handle William's case. After I settle this matter, I will tell you about the mysteries of spatial powers."

Sky Scar didn't say much more, just gently nodded, accepting the teacher's kindness.

Damon slapped Sky Scar's shoulder, said, "Other than your flying skill, you have once again surprised me. Since your body has recovered, go back to the dormitory and wait for my message there." He then turned to leave.

"Teacher Damon, can you tell me what the Holy Alliance is?"

Damon's face drastically changed, he turned to stare at Sky Scar, "Don't ask the same question again, don't ask anyone. The Holy Alliance is not something you can understand at present." Leaving these words behind, he quickly walked out.

Looking at his teacher's departing figure, the stubbornness in Sky Scar's eyes intensified. He bowed in the direction of Damon's departure, "I'm sorry, teacher. You've helped me a lot, I can't add any more trouble for you. I'm sorry."

After leaving the infirmary, Sky Scar didn't return to his dormitory, because he almost had nothing to pack there. He didn't want to take his daily supplies with him, and as for the honor badge, for him, whose fate was unknown, it wasn't important.

He straightened his clothes, walked through the passage to the academy's front gate, and after the iris authentication again, he walked out of the Academy of Zhongting with his head held high, where he had studied for five years. Whether his future path was smooth or rough, he didn't know.

Taking one final look at the gate of the Academy of Zhongting, Sky Scar knew, from the moment he left the academy, he would bear all his responsibilities himself. He still remembered Liana's humiliation. He secretly swore, no matter what, he would live like a true man.
