Ji Dong is quite familiar with the Earth Spirit Mountain Range, having come here more than once and having made friends with the Bing Fire Sacred Beast Vermilion Bird. Armed with the phoenix feather bestowed by the Vermilion Bird, he feels safe in this continuous, hilly mountain range. This was where he previously sought refuge from the pursuit of the royal family of the Central Earth Empire.
In just four hours, he had moved from the Forest of Life to the fringes of the Earth Spirit Mountain Range. Matched for speed with a giant dragon, if he wished, he could cross the entire continent in just a day's flight, no longer needing any modes of transportation.
