The eight Bright Light Saints, lacking the Ultimate Dual Fire, fail to complete the full cycle of the Five Elements. The battle degenerates into individual clashes. Despite occasional shrewd Combination Techniques or powerful Killing Skills being used, their magic attacks are unable to inflict critical damage on the Thorny Thunderfire Dragon, serving only to further enrage this mutated beast.
Each spike on the Thorny Thunderfire Dragon is a dangerous weapon. Never be deceived by its massive size to think it would be slugger. While it may move slowly, this does not mean it is vulnerable. Its robust spikes continuously emit hundreds of thunder bolts in all directions. At the onset of the battle, eight Bright Heavenly Stem Saints were able to suppress it temporarily with their killing moves. But as their magical strength began to wane and their killing techniques started to falter, they failed to seriously injure the Thorny Thunderfire Dragon and it began to unleash terrifying powers.
