As the strength of the Fire Seed increased, the snowy skull turned its gaze to a distant pond, where remnants of broken crocodile bones still lay. From the shredded skull, faintly glowing fragments twinkled on each piece. Absorbing these would undoubtedly make the skull more powerful than the gain from three painstaking years of gathering Fire Seeds.
Being cautious from its past, the skull refrained from any rash action, opting to observe instead. After a full month, it decided that it was time to strike.
There was a Beast in the pond, also empowered by a Fire Seed, but seemingly so mighty that it disregarded the splintered crocodile bones on the shore. Its body was half covered in Scale Armor, albeit imperfectly, with some exposed rotten flesh visible. It left the pond every four or five days to search for more Fire Seeds.
However, it did so silently and emerged from a different part of the pond. Thus, it was invisible from the depth of the swamp.
