Wen Ting shot Qi Yue an irritated glare and said, "Who's being jealous? I couldn't care less about your affections."
Qi Yue didn't have time for more banter as the situation was pressing, the shadow was closing in on the young woman in white. Leaping forward with his right foot, he slid across the ground, barrelling towards the woman. In a flash, he intersected her path.
The young woman looked panicked and, confronted with an obstacle, pulled out a blade that had a chilling gleam, swinging it straight at Qi Yue. He could clearly see that it was a sharp stone knife, honed from white stone and a foot long or so.
