Despite whatever initial feelings they had, many people indeed purchased "The Great Detective Sherlock Holmes," even though for many people, the words "The Great Detective" in the title were somewhat distasteful.

A considerable portion of people were still voicing their resistance to Sherlock Holmes, even though a lot of them had also bought the latest edition of "The Great Detective Sherlock Holmes." Some were even reading it while griping online –
"The old rascal's book is not up to par."
"This Holmes is so perverted. He starts off by thrashing a dead body. Although it's for the case, his character still comes off as unlikeable. Our Poirot would never be so rude."
"Too violent."
"The more I read, the more I feel annoyed. This Holmes is too arrogant and he is just like a clone of the old rascal. Holmes even dared to say that Blue Star's Poirot is the only one in the detective field who can be compared with him!"
