The Hunter Steven Grant was weird, every other hunter has received remarks from the system. Either their names appear in red or green to signify the threat level to him.
But so far, the name has been in white. The system refuses to elaborate further and no matter how I try to sense more about the man, I always end up with nothing.
The fight between the two continued on for a while but no matter what Hunter Kyoto Ryuji did, Hunter Steven Grant never once utilised any more power than just his physical strength.
"That is enough, Mr Grant I believe you have proven your point" Gunhee said as he jumped down from the balcony
"I see, well then I rest my case" Hunter Steven Grant said as he immediately stepped back.
I didn't see him move but he was already standing by the benches far away from the sparring mat.
"Thank you, this is supposed to be a time for all to warm up for the upcoming raid so rather than quarrel with each other, I would suggest you help each other grow" Gunhee said while looking at the two of them.
"Okay then I suggest a training match… Not with me but something that should help you all improve or at least fair better against the ants" Hunter Steven Grant said as he reappeared in the ring again
Was he showing off?
The man brought out a small orb which he immediately threw into the air.
"What are those?" I heard Mr. Gunhee ask
"Trainor… Improved version, if I am not allowed to clear the gate alone then I can at least ensure that the people who go don't die unnecessarily" Hunter Steven Grant replied
"Is that thing even tested?"
"How do you think I was able to survive for three months inside a red gate?"
"Okay then"
"Activate" Hunter Steve Grant ordered before I felt a large wave of magical energy cover the entire gym.
The intent behind the wave wasn't bad nor did it even have any form of negative effects to it.
It was just a magical wave of energy covering the entire room.
"The entire room has been isolated and from now on, treat it as though you are on Jeju Island… Nothing you do can harm the outside world but the monsters here can harm you… Though cannot kill you" Hunter Steve Grant explained as I felt and saw the environment changing.
The balcony I was on quickly melted away as I was now standing on a hill… Of broken buildings.
This wasn't an illusion, my senses couldn't detect the railing I was leaning on initially.
Those tiny orbs had completely changed our environment, this sort of power shouldn't be, right?.
"What is this?" Hunter Baek Yoonho asked as his eyes slowly turned golden
"I brought Jeju Island to you… now you can practise against the ants without too much danger… Remember, I can only replicate about 89% of their strength so if you can't best then here, you will die there"
