Chapter 90 - Emergency meeting

As he demonstrated within the office, he already had C - A rank suits in production… All of which increases the rank of the wearer.

Meaning you buy an A-rank suit then you get a pseudo-A ranked hunter or a legit A-rank hunter if worn by a top tier B-rank.

For him to commission this, simply meant that the man was looking for something more powerful than that

"Yes, you get the idea" Henry replied as a smile formed on his face

"See unfortunately sir, I don't have such capabilities for now, maybe I will be able to do so in the future but now, not a chance" Steve replied

"I see then we will see then" Henry said as he stretched his hand out for a handshake

Both of them shook hands before they both rejoined the others, Jin Woo and the Chairman could be seen almost at the entrance.

Jin Woo could be seen checking out his card before the Chairman patted him on his back as the young man went his way.

Watching the boy go, Steve couldn't help but sigh… He didn't know why he felt it, the boy held power equal if not beyond what a fully resurrected Baran would have.

'Wait, if he has a system, doesn't that mean that he is just being groomed to be taken over by one of them… That much power shouldn't belong to a human' Steve thought

The amount of power he felt within that abyss when the boy, Sung Jin Woo used his abilities was too enormous for it belong to a human.

That didn't feel like normal Necromancy, that felt like Death… It was as though he had stared death in the face.

Whoever had given him that system was definitely up to no good, Steve didn't know exactly what was going on but even he had long since being suspicious of his Status Page.

He knew it was given to him by that monster and he had yet to encounter it again or even understand what it's motives were… until he understand that, he didn't plan to believe that the Status Page was on his side.

"That should be all then" Henry said as soon as they joined back with the rest of the team

"For now, yes" Gunhee replied

"Okay then, I will be seeing you two on Monday" Henry relied before shaking them and leaving as well

As he left, Steve heard the loud group of people outside… The reporters who were still camped outside.

"Whats happening in Monday?" Steve asked confused.

"National Emergency Meeting, welcome to the life of a National Hunter" Gunhee said as he broke into laughter.

The man was really enjoying this, Steve didn't even know whether to laugh with the man or cry.

This was definitely what he signed up for.

"National Emergency?... Is there anything I have to worry about?" Steve asked choosing to stay on topic.

"You know with how quickly I've seen you adapt, I sometimes forget that you have amnesia" Gunhee said as he quickly became serious again

"Please don't tell me, it's some S-rank gate" Steve said as he sincerely prayed it wasn't so.

"I wish it wasn't… General rule is, if they call you then it usually concerns something of the S-rank or above" Gunhee replied.

"I see" Steve replied as he resigned himself to his fate.

There was a clear different between when he is tied to the Government and when he is helping them with a gate or something else.

One gives the Government control over him and the other, gives him leverage against the Government.

He had barely being here a month so he couldn't really judge if the Government was good or not but the general rule in such situations was that they would use you to their advantage and dispose of you when you are no longer valuable

"I'm guessing that you don't want to address the people now"

"Now?.... Definitely not" Steve replied honestly.

"I understand but don't think you can run away from it"

"I know and I owe you one for this" Steve said before suddenly vanishing into thin air.

"The power of youth" Gunhee said with a tragic smile as he walked out of the facility to address the people.

Meanwhile Steve could now be seen reappearing just beside his car. It seems like this new title came with a lot more responsibilities that he wasn't ready for.

"Let's go" Steve ordered to the empty car which immediately turned on before silently drive down the road.
