"I gained new abilities?" Steve questioned himself as he dodged a tree stump that was thrown at him from below

He couldn't recall using a runestone or even seeing one at all within the dungeon. If he remembered correctly, according to the Association handbook, there were only two ways one could gain new abilities.

One of them was by being reawakened and the other was to use a rune stone.

He didn't believe he had gone through any of that, he may be considered a re-awakener but he knew he had no magical abilities to begin with so his run in with the monsters in that dungeon awakened him.

Which meant that he just underwent a re-awakening since he knew that he had yet to see a single rune stone.

However even that theory was challenged by the fact that two of his new abilities came from his suit.

He didn't understand how his abilities allowed him to create abilities in the first place but it all worked via intent and as long as he had a rough imaging and understanding of how the ability worked, he could add it to his suit.

However both [Soul Perception] and [Soul Affinity] were not abilities he had created, they had appeared on the suit on their own. He had dismissed it as a by-product of the materials used but turns out it was more than that.

"Wait, does that mean that the more I kill, the stronger I get?… Isn't that just a natural leveling system?" Steve asked as it finally dawned on him.

That was why he had felt stronger as time progressed, that was why his mana wasn't running out

"Holy shit!" Steve cussed as a huge smile bloomed on his face.

Looking down at his Automatons, all of which were swimming through the thousands of Treants that wanted them dead.

Both sides felt no pain or fatigue but one side had ever regenerating mana to the point of it seeming infinite.

"I should be physically as strong as them now right?" Steve asked, dodging what looked like a wooden branch.

Turning to the source of the 'arrow', he saw a group of Treants far away from the main group of attacking ones.

Each of them was carrying something of some kind to throw at him. Their aim wasn't good but the strength behind each throw was frightening… At least it once was, now Steve simply saw it as something he would eventually get to.

Worse, he saw the Treants as nothing but prey.
