It's already midnight.
Lu Ming leaned lazily back in the car, his arm draped over Jing Yiren's petite figure, pulling her closer to him.
He held her in his arms, whispering sweet nothings with a low, gentle laugh.
"Happy Birthday!"
"Huh? …" At his words, Jing Yiren looked confused, her round eyes staring at Lu Ming.
It took her several seconds to register what he'd just said.
Today, was her birthday?
Jing Yiren had forgotten her own birthday, but Lu Ming remembered it. That warmed her heart.
She grinned at Lu Ming – indeed, tonight marked her birthday.
Suddenly, Jing Yiren seemed to remember something and hesitated for a few seconds before she finally spoke up.
"Uncle! Everything I said was true!"
She had just claimed she was not Jing Yiren. Her uncle seemed to know this, yet he couldn't completely confirm it. Hence, she decided to test the waters again.
Lu Ming twitched a smile, "I know!"
