Xin Liao slept like a log last night, oblivious to everything. It was a phone call from his assistant that woke him up in the morning.
He had been particularly irritable recently; getting abruptly woken up after finally having a good night's sleep annoyed him.
So, he responded to the phone call rather impatiently.
"What's so urgent that you had to call first thing in the morning!"
"Mr. Xin, it's bad. The company's stock is plummeting, it's nearly hitting the lower limit!"
The assistant's voice on the other end was so desperate it sounded like he was about to cry.
"What?!"
Xin Liao was shocked. He hung up the phone hurriedly and opened the software that tracked his company's performance. Watching the market data plunge dramatically, his knees gave out, and he collapsed onto the floor.
His face turned pale, devoid of any vitality.
One of the veins on his forehead seemed to have burst; his head was heavy, and he felt dizzy.
Only one thought dominated his mind: it's over!
