Mù Qiānxún charged into the north alley.
Whereas Lin You dashed to the west alley.
Because of the darkness, Wang Quan's men couldn't see which alley they had run into when they arrived.
The two runs of the Northwest Alley are separated.
Cold sweat was running down Wang Quan's face.
"Split up and chase them!"
Mù Qiānxún, hiding at the end of an alley, overheard Wang Quan's instructions. She shouted, "Xiao You, run faster!"
As Wang Quan and his men heard Mù Qiānxún's voice and immediately yelled, "They're around here, chase them!"
They then pursued toward Mù Qiānxún.
Mù Qiānxún had a strategy. If those men were to divide and pursue, the probabilities of her and Lin You being encountered would increase. However, if they didn't separate, it's not certain that they'd catch up to her, and they definitely wouldn't catch up to Lin You.
If one escapes, their odds improve.
