In the afternoon, military training was almost nonexistent, mostly spent in a daze.
Close to the end of the day, Mù Qiānxún's phone rang. To her surprise, it was her mother, Mu Xin.
She quickly stood up and answered, "Mom!"
On the other end of the line, Mu Xin's voice was cheerful, "Qianxun, I'm at your school gate. When will your military training end?"
"You're at my school gate? Now?"
"Yes. When can you come out?"
As Mu Qianxun had no more training, she replied, "I'll come out now."
Hanging up, she walked over to Ou Zun's car, "My mom is at the school gate. Can I go out for a while?"
Ou Zun was in the middle of rest, but upon hearing her, he reflexively sat up. "I will go with you."
Quickly, Mu Qianxun stopped him.
"No need. I think she just came to see me. I'll go over and we can go back together later."
Ou Zun nodded, "Alright."
With a spring in her step, Mu Qianxun left.
