Xia Wan'an was in her room, absorbed in her own thoughts, when her mother called her down for lunch.
After eating, Xia Wan'an spent some time with her parents before leaving the Xia family home.
However, she didn't go home but headed to Song Youman's house.
Song Youman was getting hungry, planning to go out for food. Due to her pregnancy, she had been craving the rice noodles near the university but didn't want to travel that distance alone. Since Xia Wan'an was there, she didn't even let her into the house, and they headed straight to the school.
Today was the weekend and it wasn't mealtime, so there weren't many people in the noodle shop. The owner was sitting at the cash register, shelling peanuts and watching TV.
When she heard someone coming in, she immediately looked up.
