Before she could finish her words, she realized she had misspoken, and she quickly covered her mouth with her hand.
There was a silence in the car. After a moment, the middle-aged woman broke it, "Sis, I've never seen you take such a liking to someone before. You're not trying to make her your successor, are you?"
The elderly woman didn't respond.
"Sis?!"
