Since she and Cheng An were not a couple, they stood out awkwardly during the romantic movie they were watching. Surrounded by snuggling and smooching couples, they felt out of place. Behind them, a couple was kissing so passionately that they were making little smooching sounds.
She kept glancing back, which seemed to disturb the couple behind her. Irritated, the girl snapped at her, "What are you looking at? Don't you have a man?"

Victim of bullying in school because of poor grades, she took the girl's remark in stride, even seeing it as somewhat warranted. She meekly apologized to the girl.
Following that, she quickly turned her attention back to the movie.
