Azmaveth POV
2 days to go and we'll arrive in the Capital. We have a mini mansion outside the capital, and we will rest there for the day. I feel tired. So I want to rest.
Wait. What? I feel tired? It's normal right?
I stand in my room for a bit and I monitor my mana.
What the heck?!
"Lady Azmaveth, where are you going?" The head maid asked. I already changed my clothes back to my knight suit. And the head maid is in the hallway with tea set on her hands on a tray.
"Where's father?" I quickly asked and did not reply to what she asked.
"In his bedroom." I quickly went to my father's room, not minding what the head maid was saying. A guard stood in my father's room. "I need to talk to my father." Sensing that it's urgent he announced my presence. He opened the door and I quickly went inside. Without wasting a second, I said, "The Princess is in danger. I will head first to the capital right now." I'm not asking for his permission but rather, I'm informing him. He quickly understood what I just said.
"Be careful Azmaveth. You know what to do." He said and let me leave. When I went outside, the horse was ready.
It will take some hours to go to the capital without magic but I need to reserve my mana as much as possible since it takes some when the Princess is in danger.

Third Person
"What the hell is this shield?! We can't even torture this damn princess the only one who can touch her is the maid you killed." rant of a man who kidnapped the princess. "Did you contact the captain? We need a magician to cancel this shield spell. What's the response of the castle?" he continued.
The princess is in a dark locked room with little strength to move. It's been 2 days since she last ate and saw the maid who was killed by the men outside. Thanks to her mana she made herself some water but her mana is depleting because of no foods.
It's just like that time. But right now she's alone.
"Ryne, please find me." she said in her mind. Praying that her best friend will come and rescue her not thinking why she is the first person that crossed her mind.
Thanks to the protection spell that Azmaveth blessed. The men can't do anything physical harm to her. How did they kidnap her?
The princess is trying her best to listen to the culprit's conversation. Who is their leader? And why are they doing this?
A knock was heard and the men checked who it was. When they confirmed who it was, they immediately opened the door. There are 2 other men in a black cloak. "Men, I brought a magician to cancel the enchanted protection to the princess. Let him through" the man with a knight armor and black cloak said.
"Yes captain. This way" the man answered and guided the magician to the room where the princess was.

"Greetings to your majesties, the king, the queen and crown prince." Azmaveth said and kneeled to the emperor.
"Lady Azmaveth, you are finally here. Please, find my daughter. Do you feel her mana?" The king said with his worried look.
"I can still feel her mana. As of now, I feel that someone is trying to cancel the protection blessing I bestowed to the princess." Azmaveth quickly answered.
"Thank God. Call the general, inform him that Azmaveth is here. Feed her with all the information regarding the investigation of the kidnapped princess." The crown prince said to the butler. The man immediately followed.
"I give you authority to lead the search. They gave us a letter saying that they will give the princess if we will give them the crown prince. You know what I mean." Of course I know what you mean, the future king cannot be traded to anything or anyone except maybe to you, that is what Azmaveth is thinking.
"I told my father that I am willing to go while we surprise them with an attack. We need to ambush." The crown prince said. At least her brother is thinking that way, Azmaveth thinks.
"No Cion. You are the crown prince, we can't do anything risky. They were able to infiltrate the castle and kidnap the princess while in maximum security. We are dealing with something more here." The king commented. The king knew that the strategy is one of the best but he can't risk his other child. Knowing that the Quillon is going back to the capital, he immediately sends letters to them but the daughter of the Duke is plainly amazing that she comes back earlier than expected.
"Rest assured that I will rescue the princess." Azmaveth said and they let them go to investigate.
"I'm expecting the Duke to be here but his daughter is not that less of him." The crown prince said.
They agree with what he said. However, in his majesty's mind, the daughter of the Quillion is like a two edged sword. They cannot fully trust her in some things nevertheless, the relationship between his daughter and the lady is really something. Upon observation of the two, they shared a bond like that of the brothers in arms. They are both inventing some good stuff and have many discoveries when it comes to elements and spells that even the church or the magician of towers cannot achieve.

"Look, this is fun." The man said, get his sword and hit the princess but because of the shield, no harm done. "Try the bow and arrow" he continued and laughed while the princess couldn't do much because of fatigue and hunger. She is truly thankful that even though her Ryne is not with her, she is still protecting her.
The last news she knew about her best friend is that they won again against the demon beasts and expanded a bit of the territory and they are returning to the capital.
"Stop. What do you want from me? And what are you planning to do?" The princess bravely said and asked. The men stopped throwing things at her.
"Highly classified. But! Royal bloods are excellent in being sacrificed." The man laughed.
"Sacrifice for what?" She asked curiously.
"For some-"
"Silence!" A man shouted and the two men shut up. "Hello princess. Don't worry. Once that person succeeds, you will not worry about this kingdom anymore." The man with the Zenobian Kingdom knights suit said and smiled devilishly.
"You?!"
