It was morning, a sliver of sunlight shot directly into the room. As Lan Xin Ai opened her eyes, she was momentarily blinded by the brilliant sunlight outside the window.
She squinted to check the time and in the next second, she was fully awake.
"Sweetheart, wake up," Lan Xin Ai nudged the man next to her, getting out of bed to put on her clothes.

"Almost eleven o'clock."
