"Little fool..." the man laughed upon hearing this.
His unpredictable shifts left Lan Xinmo staring in disbelief.
This man had so many different faces, she didn't know which one was the real him.
"Yesterday when you fell down the stairs, it was me who caught you. Now you want to sue me instead of thanking me. Is this how you treat a benefactor?"
"Plus, I don't touch women who act like dead pigs."
Lan Xinmo was a bit stunned.
"You're the one who's like a dead pig. Your entire family are dead pigs."
Xi Yemo looked at the little woman's pouting face. What a naughty little girl.
Lan Xin Ai was in utter turmoil under his gaze. She didn't know why, but she felt like she had seen those wolf-like eyes somewhere before.
"Sir, even though you saved me yesterday, how could you... how could you take me to your home without my consent?"
Xi Yemo was enjoying her embarrassment: "As a kind-hearted man, how could I just leave you unconscious and alone?"
Lan Xin Ai lowered her eyelashes: "You should know that yesterday was my wedding."
Even if she had fallen down the stairs, even if she had fainted, that was much better than facing a stranger.
"Your fiancé was entangled with another woman at your wedding. I thought you wouldn't want too many people to know about this."
Xi Yemo's deep eyes had already pierced through Lan Xin Ai's thoughts.
Upon hearing this, Lan Xin Ai's eyes started to burn, the pain suppressed deep in her heart surging upwards.
At the beginning, to be with Tang Yun Ze, she went against her aged grandfather's objection. She went so far as to have a heated argument with her family and had never set foot home since then.
Now Tang Yun Ze has done such a thing, leaving her with no face to make a public fuss about it.
"Then you shouldn't have slept with me." Lan Xin Ai was pointedly critiqued by Xi Yemo. She was in unbearable pain. She knew that taking her away under that circumstance was the best choice, yet her stubbornness didn't allow her to cry in front of a stranger.
Xi Yemo remained indifferent: "I will take responsibility."
The air seemed to have been heated, restless like a summer's night.
Lan Xin Ai's face turned red all of a sudden. What on earth was she talking about? Her mind must have been muddled by Tang Yun Ze and that woman.
Xi Yemo noted that the little woman loved blushing. This gave him a strong impulse to hold her in his arms and love her dearly.
But fearing to scare away the little bunny, he could only endure this for the moment.
"Knock knock knock." The knocking at the door broke the ambivalent silence in the room.
"Young Master, breakfast is ready."
Xi Yemo glanced at Lan Xin Ai: "Let's go."
"Go where." Lan Xin Ai asked absent-mindedly.
"To have breakfast."
"Oh." Lan Xin Ai nodded. But in the next moment, she came to her senses: "Sir, I have something important to do. I won't disturb you any longer, thank you for yesterday."
Even though there was no family present at yesterday's wedding, many people were invited. With the sudden disappearance of the bride, she wondered how Tian Tian would feel.
"No rush, after breakfast I will have Qin Feng take you home."
Xi Yemo frowned slightly, the title, "sir," was indeed unpleasant to hear.
"But—" Lan Xin Ai was somewhat anxious, and was about to say something when several maids pushing a wheeled clothes cabinet came in from outside, interrupting her.
"Young Master, we've brought the clothes."
Xi Yemo narrowed his eyes in satisfaction, pleased with the butler's efficiency: "Take good care of my guest."
Leaving these words behind, he strode out of the room.
