As time quietly passes, Lan Xin Ai and baby sleep sweetly. In the midst of the night, a pair of hands stealthily reach out towards the baby. The hands are gentle, about to pick the baby up.
"Wah wah wah!"
The baby suddenly wakes, making a sound.
Xi Yemo's face grows darker, that little rascal!
"Honey, what are you doing?" Lan Xin Ai's sparkly eyes fall upon Xi Yemo's hand. He doesn't have time to retract it before she catches him red-handed.
"I was afraid that you might squash the baby. I wanted to put him in his crib."
Xi Yemo says this without blushing or skipping a beat.
"The bed is so big, how could I squash the baby? You're up to no good, aren't you?" The young woman huffs, reassuring her son, "Don't be afraid, baby. Daddy's just messing around."

Mommy's gentleness soothes the baby back to calmness.
"Wife," Xi Yemo glares, envious as Lan Xin Ai coos over their son. He wishes he could throw the little rascal out.
