Southeast Military Region Courtyard——
A black sedan slowly rolled in through the main gate, only coming to a stop in front of a small red building. The car door opened, and Shi Ying, dressed in a black suit, gracefully descended from the vehicle. The guards at the door respectfully greeted her when they saw her.
"Miss Shi Ying, you're back! The commander will be delighted to see you."
"Mmm!" Shi Ying nodded, but her face didn't show any sign of happiness. Perhaps being nurtured with love and care by her father since she was a child had made her less than pleasant, especially since she had the added advantage of superior personal attributes. This was well known to those in the compound.
Especially recently, whenever Shi Ying came home, she would inevitably end up in a heated argument with her father.
Entering the living room, Commander Shi was sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper without as much as a flicker acknowledging her approach.
