When Nan Fei arrived, Jiang Dechun was busy tidying up, while Zhang Fengmei, Lu Qingtian, and Zhuanzhuan were chatting away. Uncle Lu occasionally chimed in, provoking bursts of laughter now and then.
Turns out, while she was out, her parents had become quite familiar with the other vendors at the farmers' market.
"Nan Fei is here!" Zhang Fengmei spotted her eldest daughter from afar and cheerfully called out, "Hungry, aren't you? Let's go home for dinner today!"
"Do we have enough time?"
"Plenty! Your dad says it's a busy time for farming, so it's enough to run the stall for half a day."
"That's excellent."
"Nan Fei, your bike is over here." Lu Qingtian pointed at the bike parked not far away, complimenting, "It's such a good ride. I asked my dad to buy me one, but he wouldn't let me."
Uncle Lu beside her slapped her on the back, "You don't have far to go, Nan Fei has got a long way to travel."
"But I want to ride a bike too!"
"No."
