"The nanny raised me."
Seems like it's none of your business.
"What do you mean by that?! Without my affection, do you think you could grow into the man you are today? Now that you've grown up and spread your wings, do you think you can do whatever you want and toss your old man to the side???"
Diers scratched his hair irritably, "What on earth do you want?"
A former leader of RC couldn't possibly be so foolish as to call him just to discuss how he was raised.
"Didn't you tell your girlfriend before you went to China? Do you know she's in my office right now!!!"
Damn it!
You should at least tell your fiancee before you go to China!! You left without a word, do you know how much of a pain your fiancee is?? She's been weeping, aging, and acting suicidal here!!
I'm just an old man!!
I'm too old to have to listen to a twenty-something girl crying and whining!!
Is this how you behave as a son??
"Why should I tell her??" He said with a matter-of-fact tone.
She's her, what's it got to do with him!
Besides, he agreed to have her as his fiancee, first because it was the dying wish of his mommy, and second, he promised his Daddy Blaiz that if he couldn't find the girl who once saved him by his eighteenth birthday, he would have to agree to marry his fiancee Lina.
Although verbally agreed, Diers still has no intention of marrying Lina.
In his heart, he still hoped to find the girl from sixteen years ago.
She said that day that her mom and dad were both dead.
On that stormy day, where could a little girl go? He really couldn't imagine.
During his silence, an impatient voice from Blaiz came over the phone, "Are you listening or not!!"
"Hmm."
"That's your fiancee!!" Blaiz sounded pretty frustrated.
Who's whose fiancee, anyway!!
It's clear that Lina is Diers' fiancee, why does he have to remind him?
Diers was starting to feel like crushing the phone, "Hmm."
"Did you freaking forget her birthday three days ago? She came crying into my office. I'm an old man, I spent the better half of my life building an empire for you, tuckus. I've handed it all over to you now, all I want is to live a peaceful and happy life in my old age. But your fiancee keeps crying here, this ain't a funeral home! Not a crematorium!! Not a memorial hall!!!"
So much so, that his office feels gloomy now.
"You could close the door."
It's a simple solution.
If you shut the door, how would she get in?
Blaiz snapped, "What did you say??"
Oh, dear! Look at your darling son! So disrespectful! He's making me cry!!
"Nothing."
Blaiz grunted on the phone for quite some time, then changed the topic, "You're not getting any younger."
Diers, "..."
What's this old man trying to say??
Diers knew very well that his daddy could care less about his age. On his eighteenth birthday, the old man thought he was only fifteen, so he celebrated his fifteenth birthday.
When he turned twenty, the old man thought he was twenty-two and bought a cake that said 'Happy 22nd Birthday'.
When he turned twenty-two, the old man thought he was eighteen and bought an eighteenth birthday cake.
To put it simply, he never once guessed the right age.
"You and Lina have been dating for quite some time now, it's about time you got married!! I know you're not fond of her, but she loves you and is very compliant with you. An heiress went to learn cooking for your sake. Aren't you touched?"
"Nope."
"Oh come on, don't be shy, just admit that you're moved."
"I'm not..."
The voice on the other end of the line suddenly turned cold, "I only want to hear you say you're moved."
Diers, "..."
He stayed silent.
He couldn't bring himself to utter such disgusting drivel.
"Besides, Lina is a nice girl, she's pretty, isn't she? I think she's prettier than any Hollywood star. She's got a sexy figure..."
"She had a boob job." Diers reminded coldly.
"Who cares whether she had one or not, as long as she looks sexy that's what matters."
"..."
"Such a good girl has been with you all these years, her father and I think it's time for you two to get married. I've already set a date for your wedding. After you come back, the wedding will be held immediately." Blaiz didn't give Diers a chance to object, then continued, "I know you don't like Lina, so your aunt suggested we arrange a few blind dates for you to check out. Anyways, you must marry Lina, but your lover can be whoever you like, I don't care!!"
Roy looked at Diers, even standing far away, he could clearly hear their conversation. He felt a great sense of accomplishment.
His ears are indeed very good at picking up gossip.
Arranging a lover for his son, Roy suddenly thought that this old leader was definitively a modern good father!
Diers gritted his teeth, "Daddy, you need to see a doctor!"
"You clearly don't like Lina! What's wrong with me arranging a lover for you?"
Diers, "..."
Blaiz roared, "Don't you f***ing tell me you're into men!!!"
What a loud voice!!
Diers, "..."
"Hey! Don't tell me it's true! I can't handle it! I only have you as my son, you f***ing have to continue the family line!!"
