Kang Chen immediately stood up. "Where is he now?"
Huo Er replied, "He's already been caught and locked up in prison, the little bugger is really damn slippery, nearly ran his legs off trying to escape."
"I'm heading over now." Kang Chen ended the call.
He lowered his head, laid his hand on Ming Mei's shoulder, and said, "Darling, I'm stepping out for a bit. I'll be back soon."
Ming Mei was puzzled. She asked him, "What happened? Why the rush?"
Kang Chen didn't want to hide anything from her. "The man from the video was caught. I'm going to check it out."
Ming Mei's eyes instantly lit up. "Then go quickly. Go clear your name. Can... can I come with you?"
Kang Chen shook his head and gently tapped Ming Mei's nose. "It's cold outside. Stay inside and don't run around."
Shrugging, Ming Mei responded, "I knew you wouldn't agree. Hurry and go."
Kang Chen leaned down to give Ming Mei a kiss on each cheek, then hurriedly left.
