Mi Lu was utterly reluctant to come in but thought it no longer mattered.
After all, the man she loved didn't care for her, so it didn't make any difference who she was set up with for a blind date.
"What are you standing around for, Lulu? Let's go in!" Liu Ying decided and pulled Mi Lu inside.
The French restaurant didn't have private rooms, but it operated on a membership basis. Their food was famously delicious, hence the arrangement for this blind date here.
"Welcome, do you two have a reservation or a membership card?" the receptionist asked with a smile.
"Has Mr. Li from Table Number Four arrived?" Liu Ying asked.
"May I ask if you are Mrs. Mi?"

"Mr. Li has arrived. Let me take both of you to him." After asking, the receptionist led Liu Ying and Mi Lu to Table Number Four.
"Mr. Li, your guests are here." After bringing them to the table, she addressed a man who was engrossed in his phone.
