When Yun Mo received a call from Qiaoqiao, he was driving his Phantom back to the Oriental Pearl.
The dismal night sky was beating down outside the window. Even the flickering headlights and incessant traffic couldn't mask the thick chill of winter. It was bitterly cold.
The Bluetooth earpiece carried Qiaoqiao's ecstatic voice. As soon as he heard her saying that the triplets had started moving in her womb, an overwhelming joy filled him.
"Really?" Yun Mo gripped the steering wheel, echoing her excitement, "What's it like, tell me quickly."
"It's just like being tapped softly by a cricket."
Qiaoqiao's voice came through the speakers, light and cheery.
Just like how she was, years ago, vibrant and full of life.
"Are they moving again?"
"Not right now, but there possibly will be movements in a while. When I was pregnant with Sisi, the initial baby movements happened several times a day."
"Wait for me then, I'll be right back."
"Are you in the car?"
