The train journey would take over two days. They would leave early in the morning around eight and wouldn't arrive until the afternoon of the third day. Fortunately, both of them had seats. Even though they weren't soft sleepers, at least they had a place to sit.
"You were talking with Liang Jing until midnight last night, and you got up early this morning. If you're tired, you can lean back and rest for a while."
After finding their seats, He Teng placed their luggage and instructed He Zhilan to sit on the inner side by the window. Only when Zhilan had settled in did he sit down next to her.
Upon hearing his words, He Zhilan felt a bit embarrassed, "Did my conversation with Liang Jing disturb you last night?"
"No," He Teng replied curtly.
He Teng was not a big talker, and Zhilan was unsure of what to say to him. There were some things she wanted to say, but the train was not the best place for conversation.
