"I was only human in school." He Teng grumbled.
He Zhilan rolled her eyes and smirked, well, when she was younger, she did act like a monster, especially at He's house, except for when she was in school.
"Forget I said anything." Seeing He Zhilan staying silent, He Teng assumed she was upset, thus quickly amended his comments, "You're great as you are now. Don't be too hard on yourself later."
"Do you like me the way I am?" He Zhilan's eyes bent into a crescent shape, her eyes sparkled like the moon.
He Teng didn't answer her question. His expression reverted to the usual stern and reserved style once more. They made their way to the cafeteria.
In the afternoon, He Teng did as promised, personally overseeing He Zhilan's grappling and combat techniques. Watching He Zhilan perform her moves like a jester's tricks, He Teng barely stopped himself from frowning.
