After a moment, He Teng simply grunted a 'hmm' response, failing to give He Zhilan any of the acknowledgement she yearned for.
He Zhilan was scared of He Teng ever since they were kids. She had mustered all her courage to say those words, but with He Teng making no further comment, she dared not say another word.
Sighing silently, He Zhilan felt somewhat defeated, and even more puzzled as to whether He Teng was still angry or not.
"Go to sleep." After a while, He Teng initiated a conversation and muttered two words. Then he rolled over, turning his back to He Zhilan, leaving her staring at the back of his head.
He Zhilan was a bit angry, yet she also found the situation somewhat comical. If He Teng wasn't right in front of her, she wouldn't believe that such a sulky person could exist in this world!
Amusing as it was, she still felt miffed!
He Zhilan conceded her past faults, but now she had apologized profusely over and over. Then why was He Teng still so frosty?
