Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Secretly Loving Someone 6_1

"..." Chen Yiran looked down somewhat helplessly at the little girl seven years his junior, finding that his usual indifference towards other people had no effect on her.

Finally, he compromised, "If you wish to stay here, do your parents know??"

While their families didn't have a kinship, their grandparents would often visit each other. However, when it came to Tianxin's parents and his, they all had their own careers and gradually lessened the interactions.

"They know, they know, don't worry!!" Tianxin agreed readily, pushed Chen Yiran into his room, covered him with a quilt, diligently tucked in the corners, then watched him contentedly, "Okay, Yiran, just rest a bit more, I'm going to do my homework."

"Hmm." Chen Yiran watched with a bitter smile as she bundled him up like a dumpling, "I've been lying in bed all day, soaked in sweat. You go do your homework, I need to take a bath."

"Oh, okay then!!" Tianxin nodded, picked up her backpack from the floor, and after a thought, retreated to the living room.

Watching Tianxin obediently leaving, Chen Yiran couldn't help but sigh.

She was only sixteen, so young and at the cusp of young love, while he was already twenty-three, having worked for more than a year. They were clearly from two different worlds. He really didn't know what got into this little girl's head to make her fancy him...

Though she never expressed it outright, her watery eyes and the bright light within them, along with the indisguisable admiration for him, did not escape his notice.

Chen Yiran ruffled his hair with some irritation, instantly making it even more disheveled.

Forget it... after all, she was just a child... The novelty would wear off after a while...

Chen Yiran sighed, got up, randomly picked out some clean clothes from the wardrobe, and went into the bathroom.

Tianxin was sprawled across the living room table doing her homework. Physics and Maths were her most problematic subjects, and by coincidence, these two subjects had the most homework during the holidays. Currently, she was chewing on her pen, staring blankly at a physics problem.

The door behind opened, followed by the sound of footsteps.

Turning her head, Tianxin saw Chen Yiran, freshly out of the bath. He was wearing simple black sweatpants, a pure white cotton T-shirt, and a large, soft white towel draped over his head. A few strands of hair peeked out from under the towel, a bit damp, framing his perfectly contoured cheeks as he approached her.
