Xia Zhisu was momentarily stunned, then she gave him a cold look.
"This is a new variety that I've cultivated, which can bloom on tree branches. Don't you think it's beautiful?" Dongye approached to admire the small white flowers on the branches.
"Do you always talk to yourself like this?" Xia Zhisu sneered and walked away.
"Apart from taking you captive, I've been pretty good to you, right?" Dongye said.
"I take you captive, keep you in an uninhabited place, serve you delicious food and drink every day, but withhold your freedom. Would you want that?" Xia Zhisu retorted.
Dongye looked at her with the corners of his lips slightly raised, appearing to be at a loss for words, or perhaps not wishing to answer.
The sun soon set.
Dongye watched as the sun above him slowly sank. His lips were tightly drawn, eyes filled with a cold light.
"Young Master! It's time to leave!!" The servant appeared again, speaking hurriedly.
