Suddenly, the room fell quiet as Su Chaoyang obediently lay back in bed, pressing down the call button, "Wanwan...." His voice was still somewhat out of breath, cautious and seemingly shocked, finding it hard to believe that she would call him voluntarily.
The doctor and nurse, understanding the situation, noticed Su Chaoyang's reaction and heard his call to "Wanwan". It was like a weight had been lifted from their hearts. They looked at each other and wordlessly left the room.
Mu Xiangwan's phone had died and she had only found out after waking up, so she hurried to charge it. Now that it was finally on, she decided to call Su Chaoyang, setting her "plot" into motion.
Hearing Su Chaoyang's anxious call, she assumed that he simply couldn't help missing her. Her heart swelled with hope, "What is it? Have you decided?"
His confused reply to her unexpected question left him bewildered, "Decided on what?"
