After teasing her mercilessly, Su Chaoyang brought a warm towel to clean her. Mu Xiangwan was so embarrassed that her face was red as a peach blossom. Any hint of pallor from her illness was completely washed away. All the while, she hid her thoroughly blushed face, afraid to meet Su Chaoyang's gaze.
"That's done, it's quite late now, you should sleep." Coming out of the bathroom and seeing the girl still grinning foolishly, Su Chaoyang tweaked her nose and tucked her into the blanket.
"I can't sleep..." Mu Xiangwan, wrapped tightly in her blanket, her small head peeking out, her voice low and scratchy, sounded especially pitiable.
Su Chaoyang asked her, "So what you want to do?"
"Um…" Her large dog-like eyes twinkled in contemplation, then a spark of interest flashed in them, "Tell me a story!"
"A story?" Su Chaoyang frowned, seemingly hearing this suggestion for the first time in his life.
