The more Mu Xiangwan listened, the more anxious she grew, and eventually, she could not hold back any longer. Frustrated, she growled into the phone, "Su Chaoyang, what do I have to say for you to understand me? Stay out of my business! Can't you understand that?"
The phone line went quiet immediately, except for the steady, slightly heavy breathing of the man on the other side.
After she finished yelling at him, there was still no response from the other side, and her heart started to pound uneasily. In a rush, she added: "I'm going inside now," and hung up the phone.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated, outside the private dining room was a faux mountain landscape, a small bridge over a running stream, along with green trailing plants that swished in the wind.
After hanging up, Mu Xiangwan stood there taking in the view, her mind still somewhat annoyed. Soon after, her phone rang again, it was a text message.
"Get home early after dinner, stay safe."
Ahhh!
