The car pulled into the entrance of Ye Mansion, stopped, and Ye Que got out of the car, walking around to open the door for Chi Zaozao.
Chi Zaozao was about to get out of the car when unexpectedly, Ye Que lifted her up by her waist.
She instinctively grabbed onto his neck, looking at him with her clear, large eyes, puzzled.
He didn't say a word, simply carried her into the house, upstairs, to the bathroom, and he started hot water for her to soak her feet, even fetching cotton slippers for her to wear.
Seeing him do all these things for her, the grievances she had suffered at the company earlier seemed to have been forgotten.
Ye Que knelt down to wash her feet, and when he felt the unmistakable blisters on the soles of her feet, he looked up at her and asked in a softened voice, "Why didn't you tell me your feet hurt?"
Chi Zaozao pouted, looking timid, "I didn't dare."
