At 10 o'clock in the evening, Tang Shichu took Bai Ling to the Ye Family.
Given Chi Zaozao's poor condition, everyone in the Ye Family was deeply worried, sitting in the living room in silence and creating a very serene atmosphere.
When they saw Tang Shichu and Bai Ling arrive, they merely greeted them.
Tang Shichu told Ye Que, "Bai Ling wants to go upstairs to see Zaozao."

He nodded in agreement.
Bai Ling went upstairs while Tang Shichu didn't, opting to sit in the living room to keep Ye Que and the others company.
Upon entering Chi Zaozao's room, Bai Ling moved silently, not making a sound. She saw Chi Zaozao sitting by the window, staring unblinkingly outside.
Outside the window, dusk had settled, not a star in sight, with the occasional light rain drifting in.
