The following morning.
After Ye Que dressed neatly, he saw the little girl still sound asleep in bed. He leaned over, kissed her small mouth, and then whispered, "Zaozao, I'm going to work!"
The girl, heavy with sleep, pouted her small mouth and stretched out her hands to wrap around Ye Que's neck, cooing, "Husband, you're going to work again?"
"Mhm!"
He stared at her palm-sized face, looking at the vibrant flower on her forehead. Ye Que felt that he really couldn't let go of this little creature.
If she hadn't been so sleepy, he would have wanted to take her with him to the office, so he could watch over her at all times.
"Alright then, go to work. I will bring you lunch later."
Chi Zaozao, with her eyes closed, struggled to open them, pouted her lips again, and added, "Husband, bye-bye!"
He felt so helpless; she wouldn't even open her eyes to say goodbye.
He sighed, tucked her in well, and then quietly closed the door and left.
