Chi Zaozao woke up to find herself lying on a spacious and comfortable bed.
Her body was sore and weak, and her vision blurred and layered as if looking at overlapping mountains.
She had barely opened her eyes when a gentle female voice called out next to her ear, "Zaozao, Zaozao, have you woken up?"
Hearing the voice, Chi Zaozao looked down and saw a face she did not recognize.
The woman's face looked beautiful in a way that was delicately sculpted.
Struggling to sit up, the woman quickly leaned over to support her, "Take it slow, you haven't eaten for several days, you have no strength in your body."
As she spoke, the woman called out to someone standing not far away, "Someone, bring the young miss her meal."
Then, she saw four similarly-dressed young girls, carrying trays, stepping forward in a single file with cautious and respectful movements, standing by the woman's side, presenting the food in their hands.
