Ye Que's car stopped at the front door. He got out, but Chi Zaozao was still lying unmoved on the seat, clearly expecting to be carried.
He walked around the car, opened the door, and leaned down to ask her, "Can't you walk by yourself?"
Chi Zaozao pouted her lips and nodded vigorously, "Uh-huh!"
Ye Que had no choice but to bend down and pick her up.
Chi Zaozao was delighted inside, snuggling in his arms and snickering.
How could a man as astute as Ye Que not know what Chi Zaozao was thinking? Yet, due to his pride, he scolded her coldly, "If you keep laughing, you'll have to walk on your own."
So, she immediately stopped laughing, hugging his waist tightly, as if she feared he would throw her away.
Ye Que had just entered the house carrying Chi Zaozao. It was broad daylight, the Ye couple wasn't at home, only Nanny Aunt Yun was there.
