Luo Ting felt a dull ache in her head. Where was she? She clearly remembered that she was on her way home from work.
It was half past two in the morning, the streets were deserted, so she walked fast, the only sound was her own footsteps.
Some street lamps were on, some were off; the streets in spring still retained a chill. She hurried forward, seeming to hear some noise behind her, but she didn't pay it any mind.
Then she took the elevator up.
As the elevator door opened, she was thinking about the lunch date with her colleague the next day, wondering about where to eat that wasn't too expensive yet would please her companion. Lost in her thoughts, she arrived at her doorstep, took out her key, opened the door, and went in.
She was about to turn on the light and close the door when suddenly the door seemed to be forcefully stopped by something.
Luo Ting froze, her hair standing on end. She was completely paralyzed, unable to move at all.
