Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 I won't fall for this trick_1

The two remained silent for a moment, Jiang Su's gaze fell on Lin Wei's coat, he straightened her front and looked at her second invisible button from top to bottom for two seconds, stretched out his hand to block the automatically closing elevator, and said to her, "Aren't you coming in?"

Lin Wei was a bit slow to react: "Huh?"

Jiang Su lifted his eyelid and saw that the girl wasn't moving, "Aren't you going home?"

Lin Wei was stunned for a while then realized he had intentionally stopped the elevator for her.

She hadn't expected that the king of abbreviations would be so considerate.

Lin Wei responded "ah", quickly stood up straight and stepped into the elevator.

Jiang Su leisurely retracted his hand blocking the elevator and pressed the floor number once again.

The elevator doors closed and the tiny space became unusually quiet.

They remained silent during the elevator's ascent.

Every so often, Lin Wei would sneak a peek at the young man next to her.

She could only see half his face, clean and pretty, there were no scratches anymore. His charm was less wild, less defiant, and more noble. He leaned coolly against the elevator, his tall and thin figure exuding a sense of laziness. He was far, far away from the viciousness of him punching someone single-handedly just opposite the police station.

His skin was really white, under the elevator light, it faintly glowed coldly.

He gave an inaccessible feel.

Like, he was clearly in front of you, but you felt a sense of distance. It seemed like no matter what, you couldn't get close to him.

After peeping at him many times, Lin Wei observed that Jiang Su stole glances at her periodically too.

Every time she peeked at him, she would catch his eyes lingering on her chest, pausing there quite deliberately.

Why was he continually staring at her chest?

As Lin Wei contemplated, she lowered her head only to discover that the second button of her coat was missing, leaving a small gap in her clothing.

Lin Wei turned to glance at Jiang Su once again, his slightly drooping gaze was still fixed on her chest.

For the third time...

Lin Wei was silent for a couple of seconds, and just as he glanced at her the fourth time, she could no longer hold back, blurting out, "Stop staring."

Jiang Su slightly lifted his gaze to land on Lin Wei's face.

The girl was quite pretty, with a small face that was barely the size of his palm.

She had a high-bridged nose, delicate white skin, and under her expertly trimmed bangs were a pair of very natural, exquisitely shaped brows.

However, the most beautiful feature were her eyes.

Her dark eyes were really brilliant.

As if they held the stars within.

"I'm wearing a sweater inside," the girl from the next door started speaking again.

Jiang Su, absorbed in her eyes, vaguely heard what she had just said and nonchalantly responded, "Hmm?"

"I'm afraid of the cold, so I'm wearing a thick sweater. Even if you look a hundred times more, you won't be able to see anything."

Jiang Su: "..."

As if worried that he wouldn't believe her, the girl next door raised her hand, unbuttoned the top button of her coat, and revealed the milky white collar of her sweater to him.

Jiang Su was stunned for a few seconds, finally grasping what the girl next door was implying.

She thought he was peeping at her?

More precisely, she thought he was peeping at her breasts.

Jiang Su stared at the slightly frilly collar of Lin Wei's sweater for a while, before he burst out laughing.

As if he didn't want her to see him laughing, he immediately turned his head away.

Yet, for reasons unknown, he didn't stop laughing and his shoulders subtly shook twice.

As the elevator door opened, a slightly puzzled Lin Wei walked out.

She walked a few steps and then glanced back once more.

He was definitely nuts.

Having reached that conclusion, Lin Wei turned into the hallway.

Standing at her front door, Lin Wei took out her keys, preparing to unlock the door, when Jiang Su, who came out of the elevator, walked behind her.

As he stood at his door inputting the password, he suddenly said, "Kuai Le Duo."

Kuai Le Duo?

While inserting the key into her lock, Lin Wei wondered in her heart, does his door lock have voice recognition?

"Kuai Le Duo." He was done laughing, yet his tone still carried a trace of lingering amusement.

Lin Wei turned her head out of pure curiosity only to see Jiang Su leaning against his door, staring at her; at that moment only did she realize he was speaking to her.

As their eyes met, he laughed again: "Kuai Le Duo, I'll treat you to Kuai Le Duo another day."

Again, Lin Wei was sure that the young man had a screw loose for sure. Not particularly eager to interact with him, she opened her door.

When she was about to close the door after entering the house, a thought flashed to her mind and she stuck her head out, irritated by his inexplicable laughter: "I'm not falling for that. I'm not as gullible as you think."

"Don't think that treating me to a Kuai Le Duo will make me forget everything that happened in the elevator."

As soon as Lin Wei finished speaking, she promptly closed the door, bent down to take off her shoes, and returned to her room.

Jiang Su, leaning against his door, stayed awhile in the desolate hallway, unable to resist, and laughed again.

He suddenly discovered that he really had a soft spot for his little next-door neighbor.

In one day, she hit his funny bone multiple times.

She was really, truly fitting his taste.

After what seemed like a while, Jiang Su composed himself, stood straight, keyed in the password, and entered his house.

While emptying his pockets, he felt his fingers brush against the button, he held it up between his fingers, looked at it for a moment, and snorted in amusement.

The girl next door didn't stay home in the middle of the night, but ran to the rooftop to watch a fight.

Her audacity surprised him.

He suddenly remembered his impression of the girl next door earlier that evening: innocent and harmless, timid, obedient to her parents, a naive, sheltered good girl.

"..."

He was wrong.
