Bai Jian quietly turned her head around to look behind.
The school bully leaned idly against the chair, his gaze intent on the test paper, leaving people unable to tell whether he was listening to the class. His hand gripping the pen pressed down hard, as if he wanted to push the pen refill out from the case.
Just a brief glance and Bai Jian was startled enough to quickly turn her head back.
She took a moment, then turned her head to look at Lin Wei. She found her deskmate completely oblivious to the school bully's mood swing, still engrossed in her battle with the physics topics.
Bai Jian hesitated for a moment before leaning toward Lin Wei and whispering, "Weiwei, the school bully seems upset."
Lin Wei carried on taking notes unhurriedly. Once she had put down the full stop, the bell rang signaling the end of the lesson. She put down her pen, turned to Bai Jian and asked, "Why would he be upset?"
