I took a fighting stance and braced for the wave of rats. I expected the rats to become stronger after I killed them all, but it seemed that there was no change at all. That was until I was him, The Rat King, a ginormous rat with a small golden crown and a red cape.
His strength was prevalent in the difficulty increase despite being the one change in the wave. I gripped my sword and began to hack my way through the rats, there seemed to be thousands.
Title Unlocked: Rat Slayer
A title? I payed it no mind as a continued to slash through the endless onslaught of rats. I finally reached the location of the rat king, but my sword was wearing down. I quickly began to charge at him hoping to finish him off before my sword breaks. The Rat Kings strength proved to be too much and he hit me straight back to the train platform.
I looked at my skill to find something that could help, then I remembered my Title.
Rat Slayer: Deal 20% increased damage to monster rats, and take 20% less damage from Monster Rats.
This was just the edge I needed, I bought and drank some health potions to recover, got a new sword to replace my broken one, and set out to kill the rat king again. This time will go differently, I started with trying to cut off it's arms but they were very tough, I focused my efforts on it's shoulders until eventually it's arms fell to the ground.
Next was it's head, but before that I need to dispatch it's summoned minions, the Rat King had summoned more rats to stop me from attacking, but these were nothing but inconveniences. As the Rat King's energy began to dwindle so did the rat's numbers and eventually none were left. This left the Rat King open and vulnerable.
I took this opportunity to takes slices at his head but his neck wouldn't cut no matter what I tried. So I took a moment to think of a plan. So I did what felt most rational.
With my newly improved level I felt that I would 100% be able to cut it's neck now. I charged into battle for the final time and came face to face with the Rat King.
On the outside of the tunnel a scream was heard, loud enough to alert everybody. All players rushed to the tunnel to see Yoo Joonghyuk walk out with the body of a giant rat.
