Chereads / The Witch Awakens on Werewolf Night / Chapter 75 - Leaving Before the Full Moon

Chapter 75 - Leaving Before the Full Moon

The holy priest's disapproving eyes swept over the drinks on the table, and to make matters worse, the singer upstairs began to sing The Three Sisters' Brides. The song was based on the story of a series of struggles over money power in the courts of three divided kingdoms in Middle Earth.

The holy priest at the head of the group wore a crystal crown, his white robes outlined with silver and gold thread in the pattern of the Church. With his right hand he pressed a ruby gavel against his chest, his formal and dignified posture like a walking statue of God.

He came to the main seat without any obstruction, when the drunken and red-faced Lord Lester was being amused by the singer's lewd lyrics, unaware that the holy priest of the Holy Church of the Green Fei City stood beside him, his expressionless face unruffled and unruffled.

Everyone, including Dill, was probably thinking the same thing: My lord, the holy priest is standing right behind you, and he looks very unhappy.

In the end it was Mrs. Lester who broke the awkwardness, and Lord Lester's laughter quickly ceased, leaving the musician standing there awkwardly.

"Although Lord Lester is the Lord of Green Valley River, he doesn't dare to offend the church so easily." Mucha couldn't help but laugh.

"And why would a devout member need to fear the majesty of the church?" Dill wondered.

Mu Xia let out a laugh and said, "Like I said, Dill, I have many secrets I want to share with you. When the party is over, tonight at midnight, can you wait for me by that tree in the castle practice field?"

Well, a werewolf asked you out at midnight to share secrets.

What are you waiting for? To see you turn into a wolf? Dill thought to herself, "What's wrong with this wolf's head?

Probably the young girl's kind of look at fools is too obvious, the teenager scratched his head, very distressed: "It's me who didn't give you a good impression ... It's normal for you to be afraid of me."

Just when Dill thought that the other party was going to continue talking, she felt the tall shadows closing in. He suddenly leaned down, so fast that Dill could only stare blankly at his enlarged face. She could clearly see the olive colored pupils of his eyes, pure green with flashes of gold in them.

"Dill, leave Green Fei City before the full moon, the sooner the better." He whispered into her hair. The knight left a quick kiss on the maiden's soft cheek, a mere brush of lips, a parting kiss of great social etiquette.

The teenager politely bade his dance partner goodbye, and as soon as he stepped back, several holy priests immediately surrounded him, obviously having been waiting for the silver knight for quite some time. They led Mucha out of the ballroom, obviously wanting to take the child they had such high hopes for away from this depraved party.

Dill stood still and flabbergasted, she didn't know where to think first, whether it was the other person's coming, his words, or that kiss ...

She quickly reacted and immediately left the ballroom in a hurry. Now Dill just wanted to find a place where no one was around and quiet to think ....

"Dill! I saw it all!" Kristina, holding Turnip, scurried out from behind her at some point.

"Saw what?"

Kristina laughed, "Don't pretend, that one is Holtzog's boy! You're better than Milda!"

Dill was now very chagrined. She knew Kristina very well, if the other party went back to Miller's Valley, not only a day's time, all witches including animals, even the caterpillars cocooned in the trees would know about the affair between the Moon Witch Dill and the Silver Knight.

She hurriedly changed the subject, "Holtzog? Do you know him?"

Kristina winked, "Who doesn't know Holtzog! But if you really want to get involved with him, you should reconsider. Holtzogs are all very religious, and unlike those who read dead books, they're not very easy to fool. That legendary Red Knight not only cut off the Black Wolf King's head, but also burned to death countless pagans, he was the one who personally sent his own sister to the stake."

Before Dill could ask any further questions, the holy children had already begun to serenade her with boring hymns, symbolizing the hasty end of the welcome feast, and Kristina accompanied Dill back to her temporary home in the Virgin's House.

As they walked up spiral staircase after spiral staircase, the silver moonlight bathed the quartz floors from the iron windows of the dome, and it was as if the two of them were stepping on a staircase of light and melody, and the Moon Witches were just a few steps away from the Moon Goddesses that they had been so fond of.

"It's almost full moon."

Kristina murmured, Dill lifted her head with slight perception, a huge moon outside the window gazed coldly at her like the eyes of a giant, it reminded her of Mucha, his eyes, his identity, and his words. Leave Green Fei City before the full moon.

Words that seemed to have no meaning, but when spoken by a werewolf himself, they took on a different meaning. Werewolves can transform at any time, the only one who needs the power of the full moon is the ... werewolf.

A man-wolf had infiltrated Greenfiend City!

"How many days until the full moon?"

"En... about two days or so."

The Moon Witch was sensitive to the fullness of the moon, and it wasn't really a full moon night yet. The silver wheel in the sky was missing a trace of surfeit light, and the Moon Witch could keenly find out the difference.

There are still two days .... Dill's heart sank as she thought about what Mucha had said. But just like in Jonestown, she couldn't leave without anyone else, and she had to figure out the disaster that was about to befall Greenfield.

They returned to the guest's room, where Dill removed her makeup with Kristina's help, took off her gown, and didn't breathe a real sigh of relief until she changed into a soft silk robe.

Dill rubbed her slightly drunken face at the thought of this whole tossing and turning just to have dinner, she already missed Cole's house. Poor Lily, I'm sure she's all right, I hope that noble relative won't toss that mischievous and playful child like that.

Kristina also unwrapped her hood, letting her long, thick hair cascade down like a waterfall. She released the parrot in her sleeve. The colored parrot was feathery and looked graceful, and as soon as it came out, it began to sing "Three Sisters Bride".

Cristina's curses and the parrot's song intertwined, actually sounded quite harmonious, Dill could not help but laugh out loud, the originally tense mood slightly relaxed.
